Music Therapy Services

Music therapy is a form of therapy in which the therapeutic relationship is based on music. Music therapy is recognized as a licensed health care profession.

 

Zoe offers individual, dyad, and group music therapy sessions that are tailored to your desires, needs, and lived experience. Zoe is currently only accepting a limited number of clients that live in Maryland and West Virginia.

Zoe has 6 years of experience working with young families, elders in assisted living communities, LGBTQIA+ teenagers, and nonprofit organizations. Zoe has also worked in collaboration with children, teens, and adults with disabilities.

Free Initial Consultation

Zoe offers a free 20 minute phone consultation. This time can be used to discuss potential goals of therapy, what people do in music therapy, and scheduling. Please come with any questions you may have for Zoe about the process.

Initial intake session- $130 (sliding scale starts at $75)

This initial 1 hour session (pending participant availability this may be shortened) is the beginning of the assessment process as well as an opportunity for the participant to determine whether music therapy may be a good fit for their goals. Following this session, the therapist will develop a proposal detailing initial observations and recommendations. Please note that the process of getting to know a participants desires and potential goals is an ongoing process that is regularly revisited throughout the therapeutic process.

Participants and/or their care partners will fill out intake paperwork in advance of the session.

A travel fee may be charged for sessions more than 5 miles from Fairplay, MD.

Individual Music Therapy

Sessions are offered in 30 ($60), 45 ($80), and 60 ($100) minute sessions and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

River Run offers a limited number of sliding scale based sessions. Sliding scale access is determined after considering therapist availability, family income, participant need, and the presence of marginalized identities that have historically reduced access to quality healthcare. The lowest cost for a sliding scale session is $35 for 30 minutes and $60 for an hour. Please schedule an initial consultation to determine whether there are any reduced cost slots available. A travel fee may be charged for sessions more than 5 miles from Fairplay, MD.

Dyadic Music Therapy

Sessions are offered in 30 ($100), 45 ($120), and 60 ($150) minute sessions and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly. River Run offers a limited number of sliding scale based sessions. Please schedule an initial consultation to determine whether there are any reduced cost slots available. A travel fee may be charged for sessions more than 5 miles from Fairplay, MD.
